Love You... a Valentine's Day {Frame it! Friday}

Nothing says "I Love You" like a bouquet of red roses. Who doesn't love getting roses for Valentine's Day (or any day for that matter?) The problem is that they never last more than about a week and it's always a little sad on the day that you have to finally throw them out. This week's Love You {Frame it! Friday} solves that problem and let's you share roses and enjoy them even longer! Just print, frame, (say I love you!) and enjoy!

Valentine's Day Scrabble Tile Art

Valentine's Day Scrabble Tile Art

When we were first married my husband used to play Scrabble with me all the time. (We even played it to pass the time when we were waiting for our first baby to arrive.) It was a few years into our marriage before he admitted that it really wasn't his favorite game, but he played it with me because he knew I enjoyed it. That's true love, right there!
When I came across these Valentime-themed wooden Scrabble stickers, I knew I had to have them. Here's how I made this super easy Valentine's Day Scrabble tile decoration.

1. Gather your supplies. I used:
1 matted red frame
1 set of Valentine's Day tile letter stickers
 heart ribbon
1 pink piece of card stock

2. Figure out the spacing of your stickers.
I measured the tiles and the opening on the mat and then printed off a "cheat-sheet" grid on my pink cardstock. You could probably eyeball it, but it never hurts to be a little bit cautious and it only took me a minute or two to set up and print the grid. I also had to trim the paper just a bit so it would fit in the frame.
(You could easily make different configurations of the words; make them more crossword-like etc., but I really liked them as they were, which is why I didn't change the placement.)

3. Reassamble the frame, and add ribbon.

When Life Gives You Lemons... {Frame it! Friday}

Today's When Life Gives You Lemons...{Frame it! Friday} is quite appropriately not being posted on Friday. Last week life threw a big lemon at us when my fifteen year old son came home bruised and broken from a sledding activity at church.  Not noticing an obstacle in the form of a manhole cover at the bottom of the hill, he threw himself down head first. On impact he was launched from his sled, where his face collided with several chunks of ice, leaving cuts and abrasions, and he also rolled and broke his arm. He is now sporting a fabulous cast for at least the next three weeks.

How do you make lemonade out of that, you might ask?

Well, it's not easy, but some comic relief did enter the situation when my nephew took one look at his cousin and said, "It's all good,bro- chicks dig scars." And just like that we had lemonade. :)

So, I apologize that I'm a few days late with last week's {Frame it! Friday} but since life was busy throwing me lemons, I got a little behind. Next time you're having a rough week just, print, frame and enjoy this freebie... I know I did.

Here's a photo of my son a week after the accident... his face is healing nicely, and I'm getting used to seeing the cast. He is doing well, all things considered...

I Love You Because... {Frame it! Friday}

This week's {Frame it! Friday} is an I Love You Because... frame. Perfect for Valentine's Day or any day you want to leave a love note for that special someone. Simply frame the printable and use a dry erase marker to write on the glass. It wipes away easily, so this frame can be used over and over. As always, print, frame, (say I love you!) and enjoy!

2017 Scripture/FHE Reading Chart Bookmark

It's 2017 and I've updated my Scripture/FHE Reading Chart Bookmarks!

There are a lot of scripture progress tracking sheets out there, but this is one of my favorites because it is multifunctional. It allows you to track your reading progress, and also your FHE efforts, too. I also like that you are free to set your own reading pace.  I have always felt like it is more important to be making progress, than to be reading a set number of chapters each day (although the flexibility of this bookmark allows you to do it either way!)

Here it is, happy reading!
