Halloween Party Activity

Last year Kellie's teacher asked me if I would put together an activity for her 1st/2nd graders to complete after their Halloween Breakfast and this is what I came up with.
It is great because, while glitter and glue and paint are awesome, it becomes a nightmare to clean up in the classroom.
Basically, you have the kids trace their hand and arm up to their elbow and then have them outline (or color in) their "tree trunk" with brown marker or crayon.
Then I used my handy-dandy paper cutter (love my e-craft!) to cut out a buzzillion leaves for them to glue on. Some kids even went on to color in clouds and birds and pumpkins and such.
They were occupied -in their seats, no less- the entire time.
Her teacher loved it so much that when she got to move up with the kids to 2nd grade (with most of last year's class) that she asked for me to do it again! No problem!
